Location: College Park and West Midtown offices
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Your Impactful Role

  • Assist clinical manager with management of day-to-day operations of the center, including overseeing clinical staff, ensuring supply needs, and resource allocation
  • Demonstrate expertise and leadership in the role components of teacher and clinical assistant with emphasis on mastery of leadership skills.
  • Serve as an experienced clinical resource for provider, clinical assistant and administrative staff
  • Assist healthcare providers with direct patient care including, but not limited to recording vital signs, administering medications, conducting medical testing, and triaging patients under the guidance of providers
  • Has working knowledge of clinical equipment and procedures (BAT, audiometer, drug screens, spirometry, shy bladder/lung, DOT exams, EKG)
  • Maintain daily control logs, clinical checklist and routine machine maintenance
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Assist with direction to the occupational health clinical assistant team, including training and performance management.
  • Serves as a contributor in hiring and selection of other clinical staff
  • Perform general office duties, such as answering phone calls, completing required documentation for patient care, or other office tasks as requested by provider(s) or supervisor(s)
  • Work with front office staff and providers to ensure patients are seen in a timely fashion
  • Monitor safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with addressing client needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Travel to different center locations as required to help oversee operations and ensure consistent quality of services.
  • Other duties as required

  • Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism
  • The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies
  • Willingness to learn and improve; is positively responsive to feedback
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Competency in using an electronic medical record.
  • Effectively practices teamwork, respect for coworkers and supervisors, good attendance and punctuality

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program - Certified Medical Assistant
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a patient care setting
  • Experience serving as a clinical preceptor/lead
  • Occupational Medicine experience required
  • EMR system experience minimum 1 year
  • Qualified Drug Screen Collector/ BAT qualification
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • NIOSH Spirometry training
  • CAOHC training
